Consumers, already hit with escalating diamond prices at retail, were stunned to read that DeBeers recently announced yet another price hike in diamonds, this time an additional 3%.
Now 3% may not sound like a lot to you, and maybe it isn't when you are making a $5.00 purchase, but I have yet to find any diamonds of any substantial size selling for $5.00 lately.
So if you're planning on forking out big bucks for that new engagement ring, better add some additional quarters to the "spare change jar," because brother, you're gonna' need it.
